Privacy Policy and Personal Information Collection Statement

Version 2026-07-28

Who collects your information

This scanner is operated by Fimmick Limited, Hong Kong. Fimmick is the data user responsible for the information described below. Contact: privacy@fimmick.com.

What we collect from you

When you run a scan we store the business details you enter: business name, Instagram handle, website address, industry, district and the objective you select. If you unlock a full report we also store the contact method you choose — a WhatsApp number, phone number, email address or LINE ID, depending on which options are offered in your market — together with your three separate consent choices. We record anonymous usage events (which pages you reached, whether a scan completed) under a random session identifier that is not linked to your name or contact details.

What we collect about the business from public sources

A scan reads publicly available information about the business you name: its Instagram profile, its Google Business Profile including ratings, review counts and review text, its position in Google search and Google Maps results, whether it is cited in Google AI Overview and AI Mode answers, and its website's public metadata. We may store copies of publicly visible images only where the corresponding retention setting is enabled. We do not access private accounts, and we do not log in as you or as the business.

Why we use it

To produce your visibility report, to allow you to return to it, and — only where you have given that specific consent — for a Fimmick consultant to discuss the results with you or to send you marketing updates. Your report-delivery consent is required to receive a report; the other two are optional and refusing them does not change your report.

Who else sees it

Reports are stored with our database provider, Supabase. Scanning uses third-party data providers to read public information; we send them the business identifiers needed to look the business up, never your contact details. Where you have consented to a discussion, your enquiry is passed to Fimmick's internal sales workflow. We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

Report access links expire 30 days after they are issued. Recovery links expire 15 minutes after they are sent. We are finalising a published schedule for how long scan records and contact details are retained; until it is published, ask us using the contact address above and we will tell you what we hold and delete it on request.

Your rights

You may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw a consent you previously gave. Write to privacy@fimmick.com and we will respond within the period required by law. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

If a report names your business and you did not ask for it

Anyone can run a scan on any business using only public information, so a report may exist for a business that did not request one. Reports are not listed in search engines. If you want a report about your business removed, email privacy@fimmick.com with the report link and we will remove it.
